PTA Certification And Licensing Michigan

To become a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Michigan, you must graduate from an accredited program and pass additional certification exams.

Michigan does not have any requirement to undertake any local state-level jurisprudence exams. However, all candidates seeking initial licensure in the state must complete the National Physical Therapy Examinations (NPTE).

Additionally, a criminal background check and completion of human trafficking training are required. Licenses must be renewed every two years.
