Certification Requirements
How do I get certified in phlebotomy?
There are typically two pathways via which you may qualify to sit certification exams;
- Have completed an approved phlebotomy training program in the last 5 years including supervised clinical experience, or
- Have completed at least 1 year of supervised work experience within the phlebotomy field in the past 3 years.
Irrespective of which pathway you choose or have followed you must also provide proof of;
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Proof of completion of an approved program or relevant work experience
- Up to date CPR certification
- Up to date immunizations
